School Conferences – Thursday November 26 and Friday November 27
Save the date for upcoming school conferences on Thursday evening and Friday during the day.
All families will be invited to book an individual conference time with each of their child’s teachers. Please book a separate time with each teacher you would like to meet with (ex. Humanities, Math/Sci, CTF, PE, etc. As we do not have enough time slots for every family, we are limiting each family to one conference booking per student. Please book early to ensure you are able to secure a spot.
Conference Bookings will open on Friday November 20, 2026.
Radon Testing at School
This fall, the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) will be conducting radon testing in a number of schools across the system, including our school.
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that comes from the soil. It is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. Long-term exposure to elevated levels of radon can pose a risk to health. If testing identifies radon levels above recommended guidelines, appropriate mitigation measures can be implemented to reduce concentrations to safe levels.
Testing will involve the placement of small, round monitoring devices called alpha track detectors. These passive devices do not emit sounds, odors, radiation, or any other signals. They will be suspended from the ceiling in selected areas of the school that are occupied for four or more hours each day. The detectors will remain in place for approximately 91 days to collect samples.
To minimize disruption, the devices will be installed on a non-instructional day or over an evening or weekend. Testing will not interfere with teaching or learning activities.

If you are a night owl and able to work evenings and stay awake past 10pm…even better! Please grab a PM shift.
If you have a friend or family member that you’d like to work a shift with, signup for two shifts. You will just need to put their email address and their phone number in.
This is by far, the biggest fundraiser that TBR will have. We are only granted a casino by AGLC, once every 18 - 24 months. Our last casino was in 2023! TBR will receive between $70,000 - $80,000 from this one, two day event. To put that into perspective, a regular ‘good’ fundraiser raises less than $1,000.
One note - if you are able to work both days, it has to be the same job. You cannot signup for Banker one day and Count Room Staff the next day.
