Dear Thomas B. Riley Families,
Boil Water Advisory for Bowness
Thank you so much for all of your patience, understanding and flexibility as we have continued to work through the current situation in Bowness with the water main break and boil water advisory. We continue to remain open and have contingency plans in place should the situation change further.
If there are any changes over the week, additional information will be shared. All updates will also be posted on the CBE website.
School Council AGM at Thomas B. Riley School - June 12, 2024
Please consider joining our final school council of the year on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at 6:00pm. We will be giving some final updates regarding our new logo and motto, end of year celebrations, and also voting in new council members to vacant roles.
The meeting will be held at Thomas B. Riley School in the learning commons. There is lots of opportunity to get involved and be part of this amazing school community. We cannot do this without you! Your support is greatly appreciated. We hope to see you there!
PATs this week
Wednesday June 12, 2024 – Grade 9 ELA Part B
Thursday June 13, 2024 – Grade 9 Mathematics Part A
If you have a child in Grade 9 please ensure they have a good night’s sleep and a water bottle and a snack to help support them through the morning. We ask that all students arrive on time these days so there is no additional delays in writing. If your child missed their exam for any reason they will be asked to write as soon as they arrive to school at the earliest available time.
For all other students in Grades 7 and 8, they will be attending their homeroom classes for the morning of all PAT days to minimize movement throughout the school and to limit distractions for students writing.

Casual Wear for TLC
TLC students may choose to wear casual and no uniform beginning on Friday June 14th until the end of this school year.
If current Grade 9 students would like to donate their uniform in good used position they can leave their cleaned uniform at the school office after this time.
New Logo has been revealed!
Check out our school website to see our final logo for TBR Ravens! Home - Thomas B. Riley School (cbe.ab.ca)
This logo has been a year in the making and we strongly believe represents our values at TBR to Thrive Brave and Rise. This logo also includes the mountains to the west of us and the bow river which is such a hallmark of the Bowness community where our school is situated. Thank you for your input and feedback. We are thrilled with the result!
Sincerely,
Tiffany Austin
