Earth Day Clean-Up with Bowcroft – Today!
In honor of Earth Day today, our Phys. Ed. team has coordinated with Bowcroft school to do an organized clean up of the environment around our two schools throughout the day today. There will be team-building activities to do along the way and it will be a great opportunity to build community with one of our feeder Elementary Schools while also doing something productive for the environment.
Shrek Junior Play – Save the Date! – May 30, 2024
There is an important change to the scheduled date of our Shrek Junior Play. We will be holding one dress rehearsal in the afternoon of May 30, 2024 at 12:30pm and one evening performance at 6pm. Doors will open at 5:30pm.
CBE Grade 9 Round Dance
Oki, Danit'ada, Âba wathtec, Tânisi, Taanishi, Bonjour, Hello.
The inaugural CBE Round Dance for Grade 9 Indigenous students transitioning to high school is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ernest Manning High School. This community event is replacing the tea and pipe ceremonies offered by Elder Kerrie Moore and Knowledge Keeper Hal Eagletail in previous years.
We are delighted to extend the attached invitation to all Grade 9 students who self-identify as Indigenous. In order to ensure that every student receives this information, we kindly request that your school share the invite and the additional documents attached with each of your grade 9 Indigenous students and their families.
Volleyball Pizza Party
We are excited to celebrate the Jr. and Sr Boys and Girls Volleyball teams this year with a year end pizza party! We will be sure to have accommodations for dietary restrictions available. Students are asked to touch base with their coaches today if they require food accommodations.
Mandatory Grade 7 Band Rehearsal
There is a mandatory Grade 7 Band Rehearsal tomorrow on Tuesday April 23, 2024 from 2:30pm-4:00pm. Grade 7 band students are required to be present in or they may not be able to attend their May 1 field trip. If there are extenuating circumstances for why your child cannot attend this after school rehearsal please email Mr. Irwin directly.
Fun Lunch – Casual Day
Students in TLC are invited to wear casual clothing on Thursday as we have our Jugo Juice Fun Lunch.
Attending TBR Next Year
If there are any changes to your child’s enrollment at TBR going into next year, please let us know right away. If you are moving, if your child is attending another school or program, or for any other reason will not return to TBR, please email the main office at thomasbriley@cbe.ab.ca so we can designate each student to the correct location. Inaccurate enrollment affects budgeting decisions at this time of year as well as class size and composition. Your transparency helps us to staff our school in the best way to support all students.
