Fall Break – No School November 8-12, 2025

Fall Break for all students is proceeding as normal from November 8-November 12. School will resume on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Soccer Fees are Due

If your child was on the soccer team this year, the fees are now uploaded to your Powerschool account. These students were able to complete most of the season before job action. It is important these fees are paid as soon as possible so that we are able to also continue with our wraps up for all students.

Field Trip Forms Going Home Today

There are field trip forms going home today for all students for our Winsport Field trips beginning the first day after the winter break. Please sign and return these forms as soon as possible so we can plan ahead and ensure everything is prepared for this exciting trip. A huge thank you to our school council who is paying for half of the cost of this trip, meaning the cost is only $25 per student. We are very appreciative for the support for this whole school trip.

In addition, Grade 8 students will be attending the Theatre Calgary field trip later in November, and these forms also went home today for all students.

Basketball Season is Cancelled

The collective decision was made by all schools in our division that there is simply not sufficient time to finish the basketball season this year in time for playoffs. Therefore, students will be engaged instead in-school activities to wrap up the season instead. More will be discussed in a meeting at lunch on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The school will also pay for a pizza party wrap up in recognition of our athletes and the time they have spent trying out and practicing. No fees will be charged for basketball this season.

Staffing Update

Mrs. Shah is currently working in an Acting Role at Area 1 Office. During her time in this role, Ms. Coghlan has moved into Ms. Shah’s position as Resource Teacher temporarily. We welcome Ms. Ryou to Ms. Coghlan’s classroom in the meantime.
