Elder Visit and Walking Trip – Grade 7s and 8s on Thursday, May 29

All grade 7s and 8s will be walking to Bowness park on Thursday May 29 beginning at 8:30am. Once there, they will be engaged in various curricular activities in humanities and science. As well, they will be meeting with Elder Saa’kokoto on site for a special visit.

This will be a full day trip and students will return before the final bell. Students are responsible for bringing their own lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and comfortable clothing. There will be no alternative activities at the school for this day as the Grade 9 students are writing PATs.

Students are expected to be on time to ensure they don’t miss the departure time.

First Grade 9 PAT on Thursday, May 29

All Grade 9 students will be writing their first PAT of the year on Thursday, May 29. This will be ELA Part A – written exam. It is important that students arrive on time and are prepared for a full morning of writing.

Bus Registration is OPEN for Next Year – Deadline June 13

Bus Registration is now open in your Powerschool Account. In order to secure bussing for your child next year it is important to register prior to the deadline to guarantee your spot and to help transportation to effectively plan routes for the Fall. Registration after this date may result in delays in transportation in the Fall.

To find a school’s walk zone map, visit CBE’s Find a School Tool and follow these instructions:  

  • Type in a home address or search by school in the drop-down menu. 
  • Choose a program under Program Options. 
  • Click on the grade(s). 
  • Below the map, in the “Programs” column, click on the grade/program for the school.

§  This will display the walk zone for the school/program.  

§  Note: only one walk zone can be displayed at a time.

Grade 9 PATS: Thursday, May 29 (ELA 9 Part A); Friday, June 13 (Math 9 Part A); Monday, June 16 (ELA 9 Part B); Tuesday, June 17 (Math 9 Part B), Wednesday, June 18 (SS 9); Thursday, June 19 (Science 9)

June 2: Grade 7 Open House for all incoming Grade 7 students 12:30pm-2:00pm

June 3: Open House for all New Students to TBR 6:00pm-7:00pm

June 24: Grade 9 Farewell – 2 tickets will be provided per student (no exceptions due to fire code) 8:45am-11:00am.

June 26: Sports Day/Early Dismissal at 12:00pm (Last Day of School)
