Dear Thomas B. Riley Families,
This is our final message of this school year, and we wanted to take the time to thank you for the many ways you have supported our school this year.
Thank you to the members of school council, without you we would not have had the funds for new technology, field trips, food for students and staff when needed, any many many other items and materials that support our daily operations and enhance student learning.
Thank you to parents for the kind and supportive emails you have sent and phone calls you have made expressing your appreciation for our amazing staff and the school as a whole. Your partnership in your child’s learning has been so incredible this year.
Thank you to our many community partners. Bowness is a tight-knit community where people pull together in times of need and in times of grief. Thank you for the outpouring of support, food, notes, calls, emails when we needed it the most this year.
And thank you to our students. They are the reason we all come to work each and every day. Their goofy sense of humor, their crafty ways of trying to skirt the rules, their kindness, their empathy, their big hearts and their very strange lingo are what keeps us on our toes. We will miss our Grade 9s and wish them a very bright future as they move into their High School Era.

Grade 9 Farewell
Thank to you all families who have RSVP’d to our farewell ceremony on Tuesday. Tickets have been printed and will be distributed to students today. Tickets will not be reprinted and are the student’s responsibility to give to their two adults who are attending. If you arrive at the farewell without a ticket or with a ticket that has numbers that do not match your child’s assigned ticket numbers, you will be denied entry. This is for safety and security and also to adhere to mandatory fire code regulations.
Families can line up outside of the school beginning at 8:30am and will be permitted entry through the front doors at 9:00am.
