Dear Thomas B. Riley families,
Registration is Now OPEN for 2025-26
Registration for the 2025-26 school year is now open. If your child currently attends Thomas B. Riley School there is no further action required, unless you are planning to move schools or programs.
Are you moving school next year? Please let us know!
If you are planning to move schools, please let the office know as soon as possible so we can update their designated school. This is critical to ensuring we have an accurate registration count for next year to minimize the need to regroup homerooms in the Fall.
Are you interested in our TLC Program Next Year?
Our TLC program is now open for registration. If you would like to register for TLC next year, please complete an expression of interest form through School Engage no later than February 12, 2025 at noon. The school lottery for available spots will take place on February 13, 2025. however early registration will secure your registration. It is possible that enrollment in certain grades will be capped later in the Spring/Fall.

Room 5 and 6 Winsport Field Trip
Rooms 5 and 6 are attending Winsport for a full day of skiing/snowboarding. Please ensure if your child is attending that they bring snowpants, jacket, and gloves. Students may bring their own helmet if they choose. All other ski or snowboarding equipment will be provided. Students and volunteers are not permitted to bring any other equipment with them to school or on the hill.
Thank you to school council for their generous support of this field trip in keeping the cost to half of the original amount.
Bowness High School Student Tour
All students who are designated to Bowness High School will attend their student tour on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 9:15am until 11:30am. Students will be walking from TB Riley to Bowness High. It is important they are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions.
Robert Thirsk Student Tour and Open House
Due to several conflicts on the same day of various school events, we are not able to accommodate a student school tour to Robert Thirsk this year on the date and time that they have it scheduled. We apologize for the inconvenience to students designated to this school, however, students and parents will still have an opportunity to visit the school for their Open House on Monday, January 27, 2025. It begins at 6:00pm at their school. We encourage all families designated to attend.
FSL ‘Supplies’ Request
Madame Arko, our French teacher, is looking for some things you might be getting rid of. If you have any children’s plastic animals, plastic/wood dollhouse furniture, or doll clothes that you were planning to send off for donation, please bring it in to the school instead! Mme Arko would love to be able to put those items to good use in language class. Many thanks!
