Dear Thomas B. Riley Families,
Gift Card Drive!
It’s that time of year again when we will be collecting donated gift cards to help families in our community who need support with basic needs and food over the holiday break.
All students and families are invited to participate by donating gift cards to this important cause. We would prefer denominations of $25 or $50 so we can easily split the gift cards between families as needed. In addition, each homeroom will be participating in a challenge to see who can raise the most $ in gift cards. The winner will receive a pizza party for their homeroom on the last week of school.
As a general rule we are going to have the following grades collect the following gift cards (though we will accept any gift cards that are brought in):
Grade 7: Wal-Mart
Grade 8: Superstore
Grade 9: Safeway
Thank you so much for your consideration of contributing to this cause.
Vaccination Consents Sent Home
Grade 9 students and any other students who require catch-up vaccines had consent forms sent home last week. Please return these forms to the main office as soon as possible for our School Nurse.
Winter Band Concert Thursday December 11, 2025
Thomas B. Riley is proud to present our first concert this year. It will take place Thursday December 11 at 5:30pm at Thomas B. Riley School in the main gym. Doors will open for parents at approximately 5:15pm. All families are welcome to attend. Students who are not in band must attend with an adult chaperone.
The concert will last for approximately 1 hour with no intermission. This will be a great chance to see your children perform with an evening full of music. Seating will be on a first come basis as there is no assigned seating. We ask that parents remain in the gym for the entire performance to minimize interruption and respect all performers.
Attendance at this concert is mandatory for all Band students and part of the expectations of their commitment to the Band program. If your child is not able to attend due to unavoidable circumstances, please email Mr. Irwin at wlirwin@cbe.ab.ca explain their absence
