There will be no school on Friday, April 24, 2026. This is a professional learning day for all school staff.
Practice PAT for all Grade 9s - Friday May 1
All grade 9 students will have the opportunity to complete a practice PAT on Friday, May 1 for the morning. Please ensure all students in Grade 9 attend on this day in order to help fully prepare for the first exam at the end of May.
Grade 7 and 8 students will have an alternative day of learning in their homerooms for the morning.
The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon- May 7th, 2026 @5:30pm
Thomas B Riley school's Drama department is proud to present…The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon on May 7th 2026 at 5:30PM in our main gym!
Come experience the delights of fairytales "gone wrong" and see the magic of storytelling to get things back to normal. Hope to see you there!
Tickets are available by donation at the door. All donations and proceeds will go towards next year’s drama production.

Open House for Parents – June 10 @6pm
Parents and future students of TBR are invited to attend our Open House at 6pm on June 10 at the school. The current Grade 7 teachers will walk you through what to expect in the first year of Junior High School and answer questions that arise. We will have an opportunity to tour the school and CTF spaces as well.
Future Grade 7 Open House for Students– June 11
Grade 7s from our four feeder schools will be attending our Open House for students only during the morning of Thursday, June 11, 2026. During this time, students will be provided with an overview of the school, a chance to tour our spaces, and an opportunity to ask questions. This Open House is led by our current Grade 7 students who are eager to share their experiences at our school this year.
Grade 9 Farewell – June 25
Our Grade 9 Farewell Ceremony will take place Thursday June 25, 2026 beginning at 9am until around 11am. Two tickets for guests will be available for each student in order to adhere to fire code regulations. More details to come in June.
Blue Grass Fundraiser Now Open
We're excited to share that our Blue Grass Fundraiser in now open!
With Spring 💐 just beginning, it's the perfect time to plan ahead and purchase some beautiful tomato plants, herbs, strawberry plants, and lovely planters. I can personally say from last year that the quality is truly wonderful.
The fundraiser runs until April 24th, and orders will be available the week of May 11th.

Yearbook Orders are Now Open!
Yearbook sales are now open! Get the 2025/2006 yearbook today. The cost this year will be $30.
Orders close on May 6th and they will be delivered by the end of the year. After that date you will be unable to get one so make sure you order your yearbook today!
